Our clinical team comprises doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplain, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and complementary therapists. We also have access to other professionals outside the Hospice and our work is complemented by specially selected volunteers. Some of the services we provide are:

Long Term Home Care Services
Assessment indicates that client needs are such that assistance will have to be provided for a considerable length of time. Such cases are mainly terminal.

Short Term Home Care Services
In this case care is needed for a short period or on a temporary basis. These are not terminal cases. They may involve family with a challenged or ill person on holidays.

Treatment Counseling
We provide assistance in dealing with the social stigma associated with patients’ diseases and treatments. We endeavour to provide detailed information on the clients’ condition and guide him/her to make choice decisions. We respect absolutely the client’s choice.

Death and Dying / Bereavement Counseling
This service may be provided at the request of client or client’s family usually in terminal cases. Client and family are prepared for the eventual departure of the loved one through counseling by an experienced grief counselor to make les painful and reduce/prevent disastrous consequences. Families are encouraged to make funds available for the comfort of loved whilst cutting down on expensive funerals. Counseling and support may continue even after departure of client.

Education (Training Centre)
Carer training Individuals with youthful energy are trained through high quality courses and study sessions promoting specialist palliative care through education, in response to the needs of the community which we serve. The skills taught are customized to suit local conditions/situations. Continuous education and development programs are important in ensuring that the high standards set are improved continually.

Complementary Therapy
The complementary therapies available to patients in the Hospice are: massage, aromatherapy massage, reflexology and hypnotherapy. These are offered as a means of communication, care and compassion nurturing body, mind and spirit. They can be especially helpful in relieving pain, anxiety, stress, and muscle tension.
